Initial Building
HISTORY HIGHLIGHTS

North Eastern was founded in 1933 by Joseph Cohen. He came to the United States in the early 1900's as a blacksmith. Slowly, over the next 20 years he brought his family to the US from Russia and Poland.

Initial building
where North Eastern Fabricators started operations.

In 1932, with his teenage son Sam, he founded North Eastern Iron Works. Tough times, this was the great depression, but they persevered. They would sell the job, build the job, install the job, bill the job and then collect the money if they were lucky. Well from these humble beginnings they were able to buy a site with one shop in 1943 at 1759 West Farms Road. They added two more buildings and this is where we are today. In 1950 they incorporated the business in the State of New York as North Eastern Fabricators, Inc. Sam and Joe are gone now but Sam's son, Jerry, continues the business at the same site of its founders.
